1gunia ma dość korzystną drabinkę. Ważne, że Rybakina jest w dolnej połówce i to Sabalenka może się z nią zmierzyć w półfinale. Zawsze groźna dla Polki Jelena Ostapenko jest daleko. Ich ewentualne spotkanie w półfinale jest mało prawdopodobne ze względu na nierówną formę Łotyszki, której nie łatwo będzie dotrwać do tak dalekiej fazy turniejowej. Osaka w 2. rundzie będzie dobą rywalką, żeby poprawić sobie samopoczucie i nabrać jeszcze większej pewności przed kolejnymi meczami. Rosjanki, które z racji rozstawienia powinny stanowić największe zagrożenie w 3. i 4. rundzie czyli Kudermetowa i Aleksandrowa, obie nie tak dawno pokonały 1gę, ale ostatnio są w dużo słabszej formie.
Troszkę może martwić Krejcikowa, która ma bilans 2-2, ale ona też dawno już niczego nie ugrała w singlu. Collins jest dość blisko. Może być zwarcie w ćwierćfinale. Jeszcze Haddad Maia ma możliwość zagrożenia 1dze w półfinałe, podobnie jak w poprzednim roku. Brazylijka jest dla niej dość niewygodną rywalką. Tylko raz wygrała ze Świątek, ale często stawia zaciekły opór.
Zasadniczo jednak wszystko zależy od 1gi. Jeśli zagra na swoim poziomie, powinno być dobrze.
