No. 38 Andy Murray, +6
The Scot has returned to the Top 40 for the first time since 2018 after he captured his second consecutive ATP Challenger Tour title at an ATP Challenger Tour 125 event in Nottingham. The 36-year-old, who also lifted the trophy in Surbiton a week ago, has now won 10 consecutive grass-court matches. Murray heads to the Cinch Championships this week aiming for more success as he continues his quest to be seeded at Wimbledon.
No. 10 Frances Tiafoe, +2 (Career High)
The 25-year-old has broken the Top 10 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings for the first time after lifting his third tour-level crown and first on grass at the BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart. Tiafoe is the third African-American man to reach the Top 10, joining Arthur Ashe and James Blake. Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz are the first American pair in the Top 10 since Mardy Fish and John Isner the week of 7 May 2012.
No. 21 Jan-Lennard Struff, +3 (Career High)
The German has climbed three spots after reaching his second tour-level final of the season in Stuttgart. The 33-year-old, who advanced to the title match in Madrid as a lucky loser in May, dropped just one set en route to the final before being edged by Tiafoe.
No. 29 Tallon Griekspoor, +9 (Career High)
The Dutchman has moved to a career-high No. 29 after triumphing on home soil at the Libema Open. Griekspoor, who clinched his first title in Pune earlier this season, defeated Jordan Thompson in the title match.

What Alcaraz Must Do To Reclaim World No. 1 From Djokovic
Spoiler:
Spaniard competing this week at Queen's Club
Carlos Alcaraz kept alive his chances of reclaiming World No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings next Monday with his three-set win over Arthur Rinderknech in the first round of the Cinch Championships.
The 20-year-old Spaniard will climb past World No. 1 Novak Djokovic next week if he wins the title at the ATP 500 grass-court event. Anything less and recent Roland Garros champion Djokovic will remain No. 1.
Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings (as of 20 June)
Player Live Points Max Points
1) Novak Djokovic 7,595 -
2) Carlos Alcaraz 7,220 7,675
3) Daniil Medvedev 5,845 6,300
4) Casper Ruud 4,960 -
5) Stefanos Tsitsipas 4,670 5,125
Every match counts for Alcaraz, though. Since no points are being defended at Wimbledon this year, he will want to stick as close to Djokovic in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings as possible, even if he is unable to return to No. 1 immediately.
Djokovic is closing in on history. The 36-year-old has held World No. 1 for 389 weeks in his career, more than any man or woman in tennis history. He is trying to become the first to sit atop tennis’ mountain for 400 weeks.

But Alcaraz is attempting to halt that pursuit. The Spaniard has already been World No. 1 for 25 weeks in his young career, 16th-most in history. He will also try to earn his second year-end ATP No. 1 presented by Pepperstone after last year becoming the youngest player in history to claim the achievement.
For now, Alcaraz will focus on Queen’s Club, where he will play Czech Jiri Lehecka in the second round.
There is movement possible elsewhere this week, too. World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas will pass Casper Ruud to become World No. 4 if he wins the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle. Holger Rune can crack the Top 5 for the first time if he triumphs at Queen's Club and Tsitsipas fails to reach the final in Germany.

Alcaraz To Reclaim World No. 1 From Djokovic
Spoiler:
Spaniard will take 80-point lead into Wimbledon
Carlos Alcaraz will return to World No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings on Monday, reclaiming the spot from Novak Djokovic after winning the Cinch Championships.
Djokovic had just taken World No. 1 himself after winning his record 23rd major title at Roland Garros. Two weeks later, the 20-year-old Spaniard will pass the Serbian and begin his 26th week at the top of the men’s tennis mountain.

It will be the sixth time in 2023 that there has been a change at World No. 1, the most in a season since 2018 (seven). The six World No. 1 changes are the most in the first half of a year since 1983, when it swapped seven times through June.

2) Novak Djokovic 7,595

4) Casper Ruud 4,960
5) Stefanos Tsitsipas 4,670
It has been a constant battle between Alcaraz and Djokovic through the first half of the season and there are no signs it will slow down any time soon. Alcaraz will retain World No. 1 through Wimbledon, but top spot will be up for grabs at the grass-court major.
The 20-year-old will take an 80-point lead into Wimbledon, where nobody will be dropping points this year. He is guaranteed to hold World No. 1 at least three weeks (Eastbourne/Mallorca and Wimbledon), which will bring him to 28 weeks overall.
“Of course, recovering the No. 1 before Wimbledon, it gives you extra motivation, it gives you extra confidence coming into Wimbledon," Alcaraz said after triumphing at The Queen's Club. "But it doesn’t change too much if I play Wimbledon as the No. 2 or the No. 1.”

Djokovic will try to wrestle the place back from his younger rival as he makes a push to become the first man or woman to reach 400 weeks at World No. 1. The Serbian has already reached 389 weeks, 79 weeks more than the second-placed man, Roger Federer (310 weeks).
As things stand, Alcaraz and Djokovic are poised for a year-long battle for year-end ATP No. 1 presented by Pepperstone. Alcaraz earned the honour for the first time last year, becoming the youngest in history to do so. Djokovic holds the record for year-end No. 1 finishes with seven, the most recent coming in 2021.
Did You Know?
Alcaraz on Sunday became the third Spaniard to win tour-level titles on hard, clay and grass courts in the same season in the past 15 years, joining Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer. Alcaraz is the 10th different player to lift a trophy on all three surfaces since 2008.

The Spaniard has returned to World No. 1 after winning his maiden grass-court title at the Cinch Championships. The 20-year-old Alcaraz, who has won five tour-level titles in 2023, defeated Alex de Minaur in the final to triumph on debut at the ATP 500 event.
No. 16 Alex de Minaur, +2
The 24-year-old has climbed two spots to No. 16 after reaching his second tour-level final of the season. The Australian overcame former World No. 1 Andy Murray en route to the championship match in London. De Minaur holds a 12-3 record at ATP 500 events this season after winning in Acapulco.

The American has jumped to No. 25 after reaching his second semi-final of the season on the lawns in London. How Alcaraz, Djokovic & Medvedev Can Seize World No. 1 At Wimbledon
Spoiler:
Alcaraz enters season's third major with 80-point lead
As has been the case for much of the season, World No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings is on the line at Wimbledon, with Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev all in contention.
World No. 1 Alcaraz and World No. 2 Djokovic have exchanged the top spot six times in 2023, most recently after the Spaniard triumphed at the Cinch Championships in London. The six World No. 1 changes are the most in the first half of a year since 1983, when it swapped seven times through June.
The 20-year-old Alcaraz arrives at The Championships with an 80-point lead over Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion.
Battle For No. 1: Round-By-Round Wimbledon Points

Alcaraz 7,685 7,720 7,765 7,855 8,035 8,395 8,875 9,675
Djokovic 7,605 7,640 7,685 7,775 7,955 8,315 8,795 9,595
Medvedev 5,810 5,845 5,890 5,980 6,160 6,520 7,000 7,800
If Alcaraz or Djokovic lift the trophy, they will be guaranteed World No. 1 along with the tournament title. There are several World No. 1 scenarios depending on how far each man advances through the draw.
Djokovic must make at least the third round at Wimbledon to have a chance of reclaiming top spot. He then must outperform Alcaraz. If the Serbian reaches the third round and Alcaraz is stunned in his opener, they will be tied. But Djokovic would win the tie-break. If the 36-year-old reaches the fourth round, the Spaniard cannot match him, and so on.

Medvedev also has a chance of returning to World No. 1 for the first time since last year's US Open. The 27-year-old must win the title to have any chance of doing so.
If Medvedev lifts the trophy, two things must happen for him to return to World No. 1: Alcaraz must not advance further than the third round and Djokovic must not reach the fourth round.
Since players are not defending points at The Championships this year, wins will become straight adds, which fans can follow throughout the tournament in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.
The battle for year-end ATP No. 1 presented by Pepperstone can also become clearer over the coming fortnight. Djokovic currently leads the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin by 70 points over Alcaraz and 345 points over Medvedev.

No. 43 Christopher Eubanks, +34 (Career High)
The 27-year-old Eubanks cracked the Top 100 for the first time earlier this year following his quarter-final run at the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami and has continued his breakthrough season. On Saturday, Eubanks earned his maiden ATP Tour title at the Mallorca Championships, where he fended off five match points in a dramatic semi-final against Lloyd Harris to stay alive. The former Georgia Tech University standout then cruised past Adrian Mannarino in the final to make his Top 50 debut.

The American Paul was a finalist at the Rothesay International in Eastbourne, where he was aiming for his second tour-level title. The 26-year-old is having a career-best season in which he has competed in two tour-level finals and enjoyed a semi-final run at the Australian Open.
No. 35 Adrian Mannarino, +8
Mannarino continued his strong grass-court form by reaching the final at the Mallorca Championships. Within the past month, the 35-year-old has upset Top-10 players Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz on grass, the surface he won his first tour-level title on in 2019 ('s-Hertogenbosch). Following his run at the ATP 250 event, Mannarino surpassed Ugo Humbert to become the French No. 1.
No. 49 Gregoire Barrere, +8 (Career High)

Will Alcaraz Or Djokovic Leave Wimbledon World No. 1?
Spoiler:
Medvedev and Sinner also jockeying for position
The battle for No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings is heating up ahead of the Wimbledon semi-finals. Both Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have a chance to leave London in top spot.
Alcaraz currently leads Djokovic by 80 points in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings. If both players lose in the last four of The Championships, the 20-year-old will remain No. 1.
Otherwise, whoever earns the better result at the grass-court major will earn World No. 1. Alcaraz and Djokovic could play a winner-takes-all championship blockbuster for the trophy and World No. 1.
Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings (as of 12 July)
Player Current Points Max Points
No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz 8,395 9,675
No. 2 Novak Djokovic 8,315 9,595
No. 3 Daniil Medvedev 6,520 7,800
No. 8 Jannik Sinner 3,975 5,255
Daniil Medvedev began the week with a chance to return to World No. 1 by the end of the fortnight, but needed early losses from Alcaraz and Djokovic. Since that did not happen, the 27-year-old is guaranteed to leave SW19 as World No. 3.
However, Medvedev can insert himself in the battle for ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone by lifting the trophy. Medvedev is trying to earn that accolade for the first time.
Medvedev can immediately claim the lead in the Pepperstone ATP Live Race To Turin. If Medvedev, Alcaraz or Djokovic triumph at The All England Club, the champion will depart in first place in the Live Race.
The fourth semi-finalist, Jannik Sinner, has the chance to make the biggest move in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings. Currently No. 8, the Italian will ascend to a career-high World No. 4 if he wins the title.
If Sinner claims his maiden major trophy to make that surge, he would become the joint-highest-ranked Italian in Pepperstone ATP Rankings history. Adriana Panatta reached World No. 4 in 1976.
Sinner also can put himself in prime position in the Live Race. Currently fifth, he can ascend to fourth by making his first major final. Sinner is trying to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time after competing in the season finale as an alternate following Matteo Berrettini’s mid-tournament withdrawal in 2021.
Alcaraz, Djokovic Vie For World No. 1 In Wimbledon Final
Spoiler:
Titlist at SW19 will head Pepperstone ATP Rankings on Monday
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will meet Sunday in an epic Centre Court clash at Wimbledon to decide the 2023 champion at the grass-court major. Both will be competing with double motivation at the All England Club, with the pair’s third Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting doubling up as a winner-takes-all battle for World No. 1.
It will be another exciting chapter in a yo-yo year at the top of the Pepperstone ATP Rankings. The No. 1 position has changed hands between Alcaraz and Djokovic six times already in 2023, the most in a season since 2018 (seven), with the Spaniard most recently reclaiming top spot after lifting his first grass-court ATP Tour title at The Queen’s Club just under three weeks ago.

He defeated Casper Ruud in the 2022 US Open championship match last September to rise to the top of the tennis mountain for the first time.
Should he triumph for a fifth consecutive year at Wimbledon, Djokovic will on Monday begin his record-extending 390th week atop the Pepperstone ATP Rankings. Alcaraz is this week spending his 28th week at World No. 1. That tally places him 16th on the all-time list, ahead of ATP greats including Mats Wilander, Andy Roddick and Boris Becker.

Spoiler:
Spaniard pursuing second ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone honour
Carlos Alcaraz retained World No. 1 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings by defeating Novak Djokovic on Sunday in an epic five-set Wimbledon final.
The championship clash was a winner-takes-all showdown, with the champion leaving London with the trophy and World No. 1. Alcaraz will on Monday begin his 29th week in the top spot.
At only 20 years old, Alcaraz has already held World No. 1 for longer than 12 other former World No. 1s including Mats Wilander (20 weeks), Daniil Medvedev (16), Andy Roddick (13), Boris Becker (12) and his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero (8).
Alcaraz leads Djokovic by 880 points in the Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings. Nobody else is within 2,000 points of the pair, setting the stage for a big showdown for ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone.
Last year, Alcaraz became the youngest player to earn the year-end No. 1 honour. Djokovic owns the record for most year-end No. 1 finishes with seven, most recently accomplishing the feat in 2021.
