In a day of three setters, Tallon Griekspoor defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 and Corentin Moutet beat Rinky Hijikata 3-6, 6-1, 7-5. Griekspoor fired 16 aces, according to Infosys ATP Stats, en route to victory and will next play Arthur Fils.
“He is a very tough competitor and we always have big battles and this was the first one on clay,” said Greikspoor, who leads Kecmanovic 4-1 in the pair’s Lexus ATP Head2Head series. “I let it slip at the end of the first set but I am really happy with the level I put on the court in the second and third sets.”

Tallon Griekspoor advances to the Bordeaux Challenger semi-finals.
By ATP Staff
Tallon Griekspoor battled hard on Friday to continue his ATP Challenger Tour winning streak at the BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux.
The Dutchman, who has won 32 consecutive Challenger-level matches dating back to 2021, overcame French lefty Terence Atmane 7-6(3), 6-7(11), 7-5 after two hours, 53 minutes in warm conditions. Atmane pushed Griekspoor to the brink with his high-risk, high-reward game, saving four match points in the second set to force a decider against the World No. 35.
Griekspoor converted just two of his 14 break points, but the third seed earned a crucial break at 5-5 in the decider and served out the match the following game to book his place in the semi-finals.
It All Adds Up
"Tough fight. I guess perfect preparation for the French Open, best of five," said Griekspoor, referring to the length of the quarter-final. "Good for me to spend three hours on court and see where I am physically, but happy with the win and still feeling good.
"Whenever [Terence] had a chance, he went full. I thought he did unbelievably well. He served really well, made it really awkward and tough for me. He showed some heart out there today and played some great tennis."
Griekspoor enjoyed a historic season on the Challenger Tour in 2021, when he won a record eight titles — including five in a row — and set a new mark for the longest winning streak at that level with 25 consecutive victories. He capped the year with a 42-7 match record. The following year, he lifted the trophy in his lone Challenger appearance, bringing his winning streak to 30.
The 28-year-old will next face another heavy hitter in Nikoloz Basilashvili, former No. 16 in the PIF ATP Rankings, who ousted top seed Brandon Nakashima 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-3. Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard defeated Alexander Shevchenko 7-5, 7-5 and Rinky Hijikata downed Benjamin Hassan 6-4, 7-6(3).
