Youzhny’s Unique Apology
It took Mikhail Youzhny nine games to get on the scoreboard against David Ferrer in their third-round clash at Roland Garros on Saturday. When the Russian won his first game, he sketched the word 'sorry' with his toe along the baseline before offering it up to the Suzanne Lenglen crowd.

"I didn't see it," said Ferrer after going onto win 6-0, 6-2, 6-2. "I was very focused in the match, and it was funny. It was funny now, because I won. I'm very happy."

Murray Reveals Renewed Lendl-McEnroe Rivalry
Following his third-round win over Santiago Giraldo on Saturday, Andy Murray reported on a renewed rivalry between his coach, Ivan Lendl, and John McEnroe when they ran into each other in the gym.

The Scot tweeted a picture before revealing, "It was interesting. We literally like saw each other and, I would say within ten seconds, they were setting up like a bike ride against each other. And then McEnroe was saying, 'When are we going to play? When are we going to do an exhibition?' They were both just very competitive people. It was nice to see. I was listening to every word. That was good."

Huey’s Time To Shine
Playing in the Roland Garros main draw for the first time at 26 years of age, Treat Conrad Huey is through to the third round with Brit Dominic Inglot. The NY Times profiles the Washington-born Filipino, who honed his trade at the University of Virginia.

"Though he plays under the flag of the Philippines, Huey was born to Filipino parents in Washington and grew up in nearby Northern Virginia. He earned all-Met honours from The Washington Post as a top high school player in the region and later moved two hours south to play college tennis for the University of Virginia.

"It was in Charlottesville that he met his Cavaliers teammates Inglot and Somdev Devvarman, who is Indian, the two partners with whom he has reached ATP World Tour finals with so far in his career. Huey credits that continuity from college with helping his transition to the professional ranks.

"'Both Somdev and Dom are a couple of my best friends,' Huey said in an interview Tuesday. 'Playing with guys I’ve played with in college, and guys I get along with pretty well helps out a lot. It’s always good to travel with a good buddy, and obviously if you play well together that always helps.'"

Argentine No. 13 seed Juan Monaco won a hard-fought contest with Canadian Milos Raonic in Saturday’s match of the day. The Argentine rallied from two-sets-to-one down and denied the 19th-seeded Raonic on eight break point chances, also benefitting from 88 unforced errors from the 21 year old, as he clinched the 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4 victory in four hours and 33 minutes. He goes onto face defending champion Rafael Nadal for a place in the quarter-finals.
