Novak Djokovic continues etching his name in the record books.
By playing his second-round match at the Australian Open, the 430th major clash of his career, Djokovic broke a tie with Roger Federer (429) for the most Grand Slam matches in history.
"This sport has always been giving me so much in my life, an opportunity to play at the Grand Slams," Djokovic said. "I try not to take it for granted after great achievements that I'm very proud of. Of course, Grand Slam matches and Grand Slam wins are what count the most in our sport. Of course, I'm very thrilled with that."

Djokovic's new record extends beyond men's tennis.. The women's record holder is Serena Williams, who played 423 Grand Slam matches. Her winning percentage was 86.8 per cent.
The 10-time Australian Open champion Djokovic will continue his pursuit of a 100th tour-level title and 25th Slam crown on Friday against 26th seed Tomas Machac. They have split their two previous Lexus ATP Head2Head meetings.
