Nie zachwycił ten mecz. Nie miał jakiejś szczególnej dramaturgii, dużo błędów i mało piłek do zapamiętania. W pierwszych setach dość kuriozalne decyzje taktyczne Gulbisa jeśli chodzi o grę z przodu, potem było już lepiej, ale od początku do końca Djokovic raczej kontrolował spotkanie. Jeśli chodzi o Serba to sporo dziś rozdał, te błędy jakie robił były raczej proste, nie wynikały z podejmowania ryzyka (bo nie musiał go na ogół podejmować). Solidnie się zaprezentował numer 2, ale fajerwerków nie było. Za kilka godzin będziemy mieć porównanie z Nadalem i wtedy jakoś się do tego odniosę. Drugi mecz ma dla mnie większy ładunek emocjonalny, wiadomo, że mam swojego faworyta, ale nie mam nic przeciwko by Andy nieco Go przećwiczył. Kolejny mecz, a la z Ferrerem wcale Rafie nie pomoże, oby były emocje, bo 1-szy półfinał mnie rozczarował.

Nie dość, że to French Open i Nadal, to Andy spędził ponad cztery i pół godziny dłużej na korcie w tym turnieju, poza tym też przeszkadzał mu jakiś problem fizyczny. Nie napawa to optymizmem, ale zobaczymy, co pokaże.
