Jeśli wygrałeś Szlema i jesteś w Top 20 (siłą rzeczy spełnione), to przysługuje dzika karta.

Del Potro Seals Place At Barclays ATP World Tour Finals

Juan Martin del Potro will make his
third appearance at the circuit finale.

Juan Martin del Potro has qualified for the 2012 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be held at The O2 in London from 5-12 November. Following Rafael Nadal’s withdrawal from the season-ending tournament due to injury, del Potro becomes the sixth singles player to qualify, joining Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych at The O2.

Del Potro will be making his third career appearance at the season finale. His best performance came in 2009 when he reached the final. The big-serving Argentine has captured three ATP World Tour titles in 2012, at the Open 13 in Marseille, the Estoril Open, and at last week’s Erste Bank Open in Vienna. Del Potro is currently playing at the Swiss Indoors Basel where he advanced through to the quarter-finals with a 7-5, 6-1 win over American Brian Baker on Thursday.

“For me it’s a gift for my effort during the year,” said the 2009 US Open champion and current ATP World No.8. “Being in that tournament means a lot. It’s only eight players fighting for one tournament. It’s the best eight players of the year, so it’s very important to me. I’m so glad to be there once again. I will be fighting against the big names in London and maybe I’ll have a chance to make another final.”

Brad Drewett, ATP Executive Chairman & President, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Juan Martin back to the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals where he made such a big impact back in 2009 by reaching the final. He has one of the biggest games on tour and is an exciting addition to what will be a fantastic player field in London.”

Just two singles berths remain up for grabs, with the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Janko Tipsarevic, Richard Gasquet and Nicolas Almagro among those in contention as players chase the last South African Airways ATP Rankings points of the regular season in order to qualify.

The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals again look set to provide a thrilling finale to what has already been a remarkable season on the ATP World Tour, with the year-end World No.1 ranking potentially coming down to the wire at the last event of the season in London.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Janko Tipsarevic will complete the singles field at the 2012 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be held at The O2 in London from 5-12 November. The Frenchman and the Serb’s places at the season-ending showdown were confirmed following results at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris on Thursday, where they both advanced to the quarter-finals.

Tsonga and Tipsarevic join Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin del Potro in the singles line-up, as the world’s best players battle for the last title of the season at The O2.

Tsonga has captured two ATP World Tour titles in 2012, at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha and at the Moselle Open in Metz. The current ATP World No. 7 will be making his third career appearance at the season finale.

“It’s really important for me to have qualified. With the big four at the moment, it’s not easy to get rewards in tennis, so for me this is one of my rewards. It feels good to be a part of it,” said the Frenchman. “I have some great memories from last year where I played the final against Roger. It was huge for me, one of the big moments of my career.”

Tipsarevic returns to The O2 for a second consecutive year, having appeared as an alternate in 2011 following Murray’s withdrawal due to injury. The Serb picked up his third career ATP World Tour title this year at the MercedesCup in Stuttgart.

“The [Barclays ATP] World Tour Finals last year was one of my best experiences ever on the tennis court,” said Tipsarevic. “I was always dreaming of playing the world tour finals and I’m excited to be back there.”

Brad Drewett, ATP Executive Chairman & President, said: “We’re delighted that both Jo and Janko have qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals and will return to The O2 for a second consecutive year. They have both performed at the highest level throughout the season to earn their place at our season-ending event. They complete an incredibly strong singles field this year and the tournament once again looks set to provide a thrilling finish to the season.”

In doubles, Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer also booked their spot at the season finale by advancing to the quarter-finals in Paris on Thursday. The winner of Friday’s quarter-final in Paris between Mahesh Bhupathi/Rohan Bopanna and Mariusz Fyrstenberg/Marcin Matkowski will clinch the last remaining doubles berth.

Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer have qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer have become the seventh doubles team to qualify for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be held at The O2 in London from 5-12 November.

The Pakistani-Dutch pair secured their place on Thursday after they survived a marathon encounter against Feliciano Lopez and Nenad Zimonjic for a 6-4, 6-7(3), 17-15 victory in one hour and 56 minutes for a place in the BNP Paribas Masters quarter-finals.

Qureshi and Rojer will be making their team debut at the season-ending championships. They have a 32-21 match record on the season, highlighted by two ATP World Tour titles at the Estoril Open and Gerry Weber Open. Qureshi partnered Rohan Bopanna at the prestigious event last year.

BHUPATHI/BOPANNA CLINCH FINAL LONDON SPOT
Paris, France

In a winner-take-all quarter-final clash Friday at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, Indian duo Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna clinched the final berth at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London with a 6-7(5), 6-3, 10-4 victory over 'Polish Power' Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski.

Bhupathi and Bopanna will make their team debut at the season finale. The 38-year-old Bhupathi is a four-time runner-up at the event, losing in the final in 2010 (w/Mirnyi) and 1997, ’99 and 2000 with Leander Paes. Bopanna, 32, made his debut at the year-end championships last year, partnering Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.

The Indian pairing joined forces this season and have compiled a 29-20 match record. They won their first title at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships (d. Fyrstenberg/Matkowski) and were runners-up at ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in Cincinnati (l. to Lindstedt/Tecau) and Shanghai (l. to Paes/Stepanek).

Seventh seeds Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer, who have also qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, reached the semi-finals in Paris with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over second seeds Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor. The Pakistani/Dutch tandem converted two of their seven break points to prevail in 75 minutes.

Qureshi and Rojer, winners of two ATP World Tour titles this season, go onto face Marin Cilic and Marcelo Melo, who beat the in-form Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 in 89 minutes. Peya and Soares have won three ATP World Tour titles in their past four events, lifting the trophies in Valencia, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur.

Paul Hanley and Jonathan Marray backed up their second-round win over top seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan by edging French wild card pairing Josselin Ouanna and Nicolas Renavand 7-6(6), 7-6(5). Wimbledon champion Marray is playing with Hanley for the first time before reuniting with Frederik Nielsen at next week’s Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
